Has anyone ever told you that you are "over the hill," or have you ever felt that way? If you are retired on Florida's beautiful Treasure Coast, you are not "over the hill;" rather, you're at the "top of the hill" -  a Hilltopper! Read more about our group here.

We met Monday, January 6th for our 2020 kickoff and enjoyed a delicious breakfast together! Watch for details about next month's gathering, upcoming speakers, and planned outside events.

Please plan to join us every 1st Monday of the month.

  • voyage to Narnia

"Voyage to Narnia" - We are offering "Voyage to Narnia," a study primarily for adults who have never read or studied The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. These books have become favorites of children of all ages. Not only are they fun reading, but when we go below the surface, we learn great truths about Jesus and the Christian life.

This class is at maximum capacity, and registration is closed.

  • Casual Wednesdays

On January 8th, we resumed with a smorgasbord of study opportunities. We have four different classes to choose from:

    • "Experiencing God," led by Darlene Pridmore
    • "Praying Backwards," led by Catherine Coco
    • "Guardrails," a video study for men led by Rich Porter
    • "Everything You Wanted to Know About Reformed Theology but Were Afraid to Ask!" led by Ed Coco

These classes will run through the end of February, and you can read more details about them in our January newsletter. Our meal starts at 5:30 p.m. in Langill Hall and classes begin at 6:00 p.m.

Please register for your class online.

  • Church Work Day

PCPC sponsored a cleanup project at a home in East Stuart on January 11th at 8:30 a.m. We  painted the home's exterior and spruced up the front and back yard. Gertrude Walden Child Care Center provided drinks and lunch for all volunteers. Thank you to everyone who came out and put God's love into action.

"Loss of a Spouse" is a seminar for people grieving a spouse’s death. It will be held on Tuesday, January 14th, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at our church.

The seminar features video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and widowed men and women. They offer helpful insights on:

    • What to expect in the days to come

    • How to deal with the loneliness

    • What to do with your spouse’s belongings

    • Why it won’t always hurt this much

    • And other practical help for dealing with the challenges of widowhood

Everyone who attends will receive a booklet with over 30 short readings on how to live with grief and eventually rebuild your life. A donation of $5.00 is suggested, which covers the cost of the booklet.

A Grief Support Group will follow, beginning January 21st, and will end February 25th. Meetings will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

For more information, call the church office at (772) 286-9958.
