Palm City Presbyterian Church has a vibrant music ministry. We are blessed to have a wide array of musically talented people within our church family and within our greater community who share their gifts of music.
Our praise band, Cornerstone, leads worship at our 9:30 a.m. contemporary service in the Huizenga Family Life Center. Cornerstone's repertoire includes a wide variety of contemporary Christian music (current and classic), as well as modern and traditional hymns, with some jazz and bluegrass occasionally in the mix. This worship band includes vocalists, guitars (acoustic, electric and bass), keyboards, and drums.
Cornerstone rehearses Wednesday evenings at 8:00 p.m. Participation is by audition only. For information, please contact Rev. Dr. Brad Klostreich, Associate Pastor.

"Throughout its 2000-year history, the organ has existed not only as a musical instrument, but as a marvel of advanced technology. Our magnificent Sanctuary organ is a wonderful example of this. It is a 'hybrid' organ, containing digital stops and pipes combined into one cohesive instrument.
Our organ was paid for by a generous gift from the Triss Shirley Foundation and is dedicated to her memory.
The organ was built in 2006-2007 by the Walker Organ Company (the digital part) and R.A. Colby (the pipe part). It is a four -manual organ with pedalboard and contains 81 stops. In addition to the sounds the basic organ can produce, there is a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) attached to the organ. It contains some 2,000 more sounds that can be produced by this organ. The MIDI can also record music played by the organist, and then play back what was recorded!"

This ensemble of middle and high school band students joins our praise band, Cornerstone, in leading worship during the 9:30 a.m. contemporary service on select Sundays during the school year. Cornerstone member and retired Stuart Middle School band director, Al Hager, coordinates and writes the youth musicians' parts for various songs in Cornerstone's repertoire. The addition of brass and woodwind instruments elevates these songs to a whole new level!
The Cornerstone Horns rehearse at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday before the Sunday service and at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday. For information and audition, please contact Al Hager (email@example.com).
We have two adult bell choirs that ring in the traditional services.
Bells of Praise is our larger bell choir (14 people), and they ring every other month during season (October-May). Rehearsals are Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.
Bells of Worship (also referred to as Twelve Bells) is our smaller bell choir (6 people), and they ring every other month; opposite months of the Bells of Praise. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.
During Advent, a small group of bells travels to local Publix locations and rings to benefit the Salvation Army.
This year, six ladies from the Bells of Praise (including the director) performed with The Great Christmas Ring! at Carnegie Hall on December 1st. The massed bell choir included over 300 people from all over the country. Our bell choir was chosen to participate in the concert because the director of The Great Christmas Ring! heard them on our website.
If you would like more information about our bell choirs, please contact Joanne Raulin, Principal Organist.
This large brass and percussion ensemble is comprised of 10-12 musicians who assist in worship during the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. traditional services on the 4th Sunday of each month (October-April). They typically rehearse the 1st and 3rd Sunday evenings of each month. Participation is by audition only. For information, please contact Rev. Dr. Brad Klostreich, Associate Pastor.
During the year, our music ministry hosts several special events such as a Christmas musical or cantata, Lenten concerts, and a variety show called "Palm City's Got Talent!" These special events often include larger instrumental ensembles.
This Christmas season, the Chancel Choir and chamber orchestra presented The Messiah (Christmas section), by G.F. Handel.
Previously performed major works include Requiem by John Rutter, Amahl and the Night Visitors by Carlos Menotti, The Seven Last Words of Christ by Theodore Dubois, and Requiem by Gabriel Faure. Theatrical productions include Bow the Knee by Chris Machen and One Voice by Rod Stirling.
