During the first five Sundays in Lent, we learned about the life and faith of Martin Luther, the great Protestant Reformer. Sermons were based on passages of scripture that influenced him and were his favorites.

    Luther married a former nun, Katie, whom he affectionately called “Kitty, my rib.” God shows us his love through the good things of this material world. Main idea, as C. S. Lewis said, “It’s no use trying to be more spiritual than God.”

    Luther lived with a price on his head. This was his favorite verse. Whatever happens, the Christian belongs to God.
