In September, we begin a two-month sermon series called Are You Saved? We recognize that term “saved.” It is a good biblical word. Jesus used it. The New Testament writers used it. Romans 10:9, for example, says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” But what does it mean to be saved? Most people outside the church have no idea, and many within the church have only a partial understanding. Being saved means much more than you don’t go to hell. Or, you go to heaven when you die. It means that, but much more. It is about God’s glorious kingdom and living in it now. It is about a relationship with God. About a new kind of life. It is about … Well, come hear the sermons. The series
will be about what salvation is, how we get it, and how we experience it.
