Our Current Study

For better or worse, change shows up in our lives and tests what we're made of. There's a good change like getting the date or making the team, bad change like divorce to medical diagnosis, and complicated change like switching schools or choosing a healthy break-up. Change brings so many emotions, which makes us ask all kinds of questions. Am I strong enough to face this? Is it even worth it to go through this? Can I/should I handle this alone?

In this series, we will be challenged to rethink how we view change, and we'll explore how God's commitment to us doesn't change, EVEN IF everything else does.

What Our Students Are Discussing at Youth Group

Life's Biggest Questions

Some of life's biggest questions are being asked in this current generation of teens and really have been asked for centuries among all people. Questions that drive us all to wrestle with our own identity and place in this world, like Who am I? Where do I fit in? and Do I matter? Our current study looks at these questions and provides practical ways that following Jesus helps answer life's biggest questions.

Upcoming Study

The Upside Down Kingdom

Perhaps you've noticed, our teenagers are gaining more and more influence, authority, and power in their lives – even if it's in small ways like having later curfews, getting car keys, or having more say in how they spend their time and money. You've probably also noticed they're more vocal about their opinions of the power structures they see at home and in the media. And what happens when those in authority don't behave in a way that's worth following? Well, in this series, "The Upside Down Kingdom," we're inviting students to examine how Jesus turned the world upside down with the unexpected ways he used his power.

CONFIRMATION CLASS

This 13-week program began in October 2020 for 7th-9th grade students. The class is taught by our pastors and youth director, and includes small group experiences as well as service projects and opportunities, preparing them for membership at Palm City Presbyterian Church.

CAMP SURF/CAMP FISH/END OF SUMMER RETREAT

Camp Surf/Camp Fish is a retreat at a beach or riverfront house for our youth and chaperones in late July/early August. Depending on the theme of our camp, surfing or fishing is available (along with surf lessons/fishing tips for anyone who would like to learn), but even more important than the surfing, beach, and fishing activities, this is a time of fellowship, team
