Bike to the Beach

Wednesday, June 14, 2023

8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Youth groups don't meet regularly through the summer, but the fun doesn't stop. Meet at the church with your bike, and we'll ride to Stuart Beach (approximately 10 miles). We will have lunch there, swim, then either bike back or load up in the truck and head back to the church.

First Tee Summer Golf Camp

June 19-23, 2023

First Tee Summer Camp: PCPC will host a free golf camp this summer by the organization First Tee on June 19-23 in the HFLC from 2:00-3:00 p.m. for ages 6-18. All skill levels are welcome. We will cap the attendance at 50 students.

It’s about more than golf! With the belief that all kids deserve the chance to grow in a supportive environment with mentors guiding them, First Tee offers programs that are accessible, welcoming, and as impactful as they are fun. Skilled coaches provide high-level golf instruction and opportunities to build the strength of character for students. Through a curriculum aligned with SHAPE national standards, the lesson plans integrate basic golf, motor skills, and fun, positive development.

What Our Youth Are Learning

High School Youth Group

There is no shortage of opinions or ideas about what's right, what's wrong, and what's actually best when it comes to the topic of sex. But what if there's more to it than we commonly think? What if sex is meant to be seen as good and powerful because it's actually God's idea? In this four-week series, we'll discuss God's design for sex and then talk about the way technology, confession, and boundaries intersect with the idea of living with "sexual integrity."

ANNUAL EVENTS

Rock The Universe:

In January, our youth and chaperones travel to Orlando to attend this annual Christian concert held at Universal Orlando. In addition to having fun at the amusement park and enjoying the ongoing concert, they spend the weekend together swimming, playing games, and growing together as a group.

CONFIRMATION CLASS

Our current confirmation classes are held on various Sunday evenings from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The 15-week course is being taught by Pastor David Mauldin and Jason Pridmore and will culminate on May 21. This experience is for any 8th-grade student (or older) who would like to intentionally walk through the foundations of their faith, discover what they believe, and confirm those vows their parents took at their baptism. If you haven't been baptized, this class serves as the necessary instructional guide to your adoption into God's family.

For more information about our next confirmation class, please email Jason or call/text him at (714) 809-5065.

SUN UP/SUN DOWN

This 18-hour trip takes place in early summer. Youth and chaperones experience the sunrise on the east coast and the sunset on the west coast, with all kinds of fun discovering unique Florida attractions in between the two coasts.

This year's event is on Monday, July 10, 2023. Please sign up by July 7.

MISSION TRIP

In the summer, a team of chaperones and youth travels for a week of service and growth. The group has traveled to serve in various locations around the continental U.S., and Puerto Rico.

In July 2022, we traveled to Anchorage, Alaska, where we ran North Star Bible Camp for 70 campers. Many campers came to know Jesus; many of our own team members, admittedly having gone to reach others for Jesus, came home having been reached by Jesus themselves.
